W0103SW.EARLYENGDWBOTTLE.M   Classic Georgian brown saltglazed stoneware ale bottle or utility c1760, of ovoid baluster form. Flatwide  base with trimmed base edge. Two tone with pale brown down to mid body and grey below. Short tapering curving in neck topped with short rounded tooled lip. two small touchmarks to body, one small 5mm wide flake off base edge. Overall excellent and rare. Lovely smaller size. Classic example, probably London potteries but wherever it is very very pleasing.   7 5/10"high, 4 4/10"diameter.    £375
