S0918SW.LGROUNDELBELL.M R  Excellent attractive large benign facemasked and large roundelled saltglaze stoneware bellarmine c1600+, good dark brown tigerglaze speckling colour with many drips to lower mid grey contrasted body. Narrowing foot wirecut with rough edges, bulbous body into short tapering neck topped with good tall cordoned lip. Good strong handle. Benign faced, well delineated. Very large oval coat of arms roundel as yet unidentified.  Restored, cracks around body touched in, handle re-attached, some chipping touched over excellently done displays superbly, a real quality looking bellarmine. 8 1/4"high, 5 1/2"diameter    £ SOLD
